"To be or not to be"

It's true that we see Shakespeare's character traits in ourselves. The most I've seen is Tybalt's short temper. I think that it's more easy to lose your temper than to have some other trait like Benvolio's reasoning, or loyalty.

I found this really cool site on Shakespeare's quotes. They have a lot of different ones based on love, jealously and etc.

My favorite (actully the one I remember out of his plays) is "to be or not to be. that is the question." It came out of Hamlet but i didnt hear it from there. Some of Shakespeare's quotes are used in other authors books, and that's where I found it. Though it wasnt used in Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet is still one of his famous tragedy plays.

In the soliloquy Hamlet starts out as "To be or not..." he's asking himself whether it better to die or live. Then near the end he says that men are scared of death, or what awaits after death. So the question is "To be, or not to be," which do you think?

When I hear someone mention Romeo and Juliet, I think of the quote "Romeo Romeo where for art thou Romoe?" That is just what sticks in my head! Have a good weekend!!
