I chose this picture because it represents the segregation in the South in the 1940's. Black people were no longer slaves, but they were not treated as equals. They had separate waiting rooms, train cars, bathrooms, drinking fountains, movie theatres, and many other places. The picture doesn't have any people, but it still shows how black people were treated. This picture was taken in Rome, Georgia in 1934. The tone of the photograph is negative because it was taken to remind us of the unfairness that took place.

I really don't like the feeling of this picture because in the Declaration of Independence, it says "ALL MEN ARE CREATED EQUAL"
(I know...I'm smart.

Sorry I gotta disagree with both of you, I believe that God did in fact CREATE all men equal,however, all men were not TREATED equal.
I dono I'm just talking...
Good choice on the picture, that is a great example of what this whole thing is about. I like that in the picture alone, your gona know what the readings about.
