Pefect Hair, Perfect Speech

I enjoyed dancing in class yesterday. Shakespear's time seems like a completely different world! I was telling kit-kat that I think that it would be really cool to be in the play Romeo and Juliett, because I could wear the really pretty dresses, and have my hair all elegant looking. Seriously, doesn't their hair look completely perfect in the movie! I mean Juliett doesn't have any little fly-away hairs, and Lady Capulet had her hair in that huge bun/ball thing on top of her head! Let me just say that I wouldn't want to wear my hair like that everyday!

So, I was wondering, when did people stop talking like all proper? I mean when did we stop speaking all in figurative language and started to talk slang? Am I making sense? What do you guys think?

I haven't read anything of Act 2 yet, so I really don't have much to say about the play, that you guys haven't hear yet. So, I hope that everone is having a great TGIF!

P.S. I thought that the whole thing about Lord Capulet being like 50 and Lady Capulet only being 26 was sick!! I can't even imagne having a baby now, so I can't imagine having a child when I was 13!!!

Here's just what I have to say:

Since people of those times had such high expectations, wouldn't that mean that they'd be less apt to tolerate the stuff that we consider small today? So what I'm saying is, maybe in what, 500 years from now, people will be looking at us as really civilized and proper citizens and their standards might even come out as lower than ours! Just a theory, it's probably not going to be true in 500 years, but oh well.
P.S. Lady Capulet's hair must have been a NIGHTMARE to take care of in the movie!

Well, I would also like to know when our speech changed so much. I think it would be neat to talk like that, or be smart enough to make all those quick jokes, but not the bad ones, of course!
