Devastating defeat. How annoying is that just cause Tom was black he lost the trial! though I had an idea that he might lose I still thought he had a chance because Atticus was such a good lawyer and had all the evidences pointed to the ewells. It makes me mad that they showed such unfairness of it. also the truth is reveiled, maylle (that girl who was "raped") she came onto Tom! cant they see that! it amazes me how much hate there where of blacks in those days.

Don't forget the Hispanics, Asians, Jews, and any other ethnicites I forgot to mention. It's sad isn't it? It's so sweet that Tom's family still decided to thank Atticus for trying to help them, and to think about how hard it must have been for them to procure some food for themselves (especially because of the racism factor) during the Depression! They sound like such nice people... nice post!
