Mockingbird's Over: What to Post?

Some of you have written about your feelings about blogging now that we have finished reading Mockingbird, but I've also noticed that some of you who have continued to blog have used the ideas provided in class and some have even come up with great ideas of your own. Way to go all of you. May I suggest that you refer to our freshman scholars blogspot for ideas? I'm so pleased to see that some of you have linked to the Harper Lee information to learn more about her life, her inspiration, and her writing style. It's also interesting to read about her relationship with Dill (Truman Capote) and the strange man who really lived down the street from them (Boo). Some of you have also blogged about your favorite characters, and some of you have gone back to the Library of Congress link to learn more about the historical setting.
It's wonderful to see some of you talking about books you are reading now, and I've noticed in some classes how the themes from Mockingbird tie in with those in books you're currently reading...or have read. Check out wild_emo_child's post on The Secret Life of Bees. It's very interesting. Keep reading. Next week we'll share book responses from last quarter!
