Where the wind takes you. . . .

It almost seems like most major books are more often becoming movie, or vice versa. Almost all of us have heard, seen, or read the Harry Potter series. They started out as books that could sweep us away to the enchanting castle of Hogwarts School of magic for hours on end. Now the well know wizard, Harry, is found on the big screen. Both the books and the movies are very popular, but I have a question. My question for you is, "What do you think is usually better, the movie or the book? Give an example." Some people say book because there is more detail. Yet others claim that the movie bring the book to live better and the point of the story is brought across more clearly. Well, like my great uncle tells me, "Where the wind takes you there is not right or wrong direction, only north, south, east, and west." Post your comments and I promise you that they will be well enjoyed.

I think the books are way better because the movies can only show certain main parts of the book. It is more description in the book and more info of what is going on.

I also think that books are better. I am always upset about scenes that have been left out of movies, or actors that were chosen for characters. My brother actually refuses to watch anymore of the harry potter movies b/c he hated the first 3. he has yet to see #4, and swears he never will. I like the movies, but I try not to compare them to harshly with the book.

Books are waaaaayyyyyyy better. You think up the characters and the scenes in your mind, and the detail is always better. When you are reading, I think you become more attached to the story, than just watching the movie.
