Reality

Oh my gosh! It made me sooooooo mad when Jimmy Caya was telling Robert that it was Mary Anges who killed Tee Bob! I thought that it was really low. Jimmy thought that they were going to be able to lock up or kill Mary Anges just because she was part african-american and he was white!! Ohhhhhhh! It makes me soooo mad! Thank God, Jules Raynard spoke up about it, and told Jimmy off.
This whole past reading has been really good! The situation about Tee Bob and Mary Anges made me not want to stop reading. Do you think that deep down Mary did love Tee Bob? I think a part of her did, but she decided to go by the sicity 'rules'. Meaning that you only liked and married your own color. At the end of the book, the reading was really powerful and strong when explaining the 'rules' people have created. Did anyone else feel the same way?
I was really shocked when they found Tee Bob laying dead in the chair. A part of me wasn't surprised that he killed himself, but I still was pretty shocked. It took me a few minutes to really comprehend what happened. I had to put it all together. First the letter opener, then the letter, and finally it clicked in my head what really happened. How can his parents move on from that? Jane warned his mother that Tee Bob loved Mary, but his mom thought that it was rediculous. She didn't believe a word Jane said. Too bad reality hit her square in the face.
Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! See you guys tomorrow!

I feel almost exactly the same on teh whole Tee Bob situation. It did shock me to a point on how drastic things became, but also I could see the drive that made the whole thing go so far. (in this case, too far) Tee Bob loved Mary, but Mary wasn't allowed to love Tee Bob. I'm sorry. . but this almost reminds me of the Titanic. (I saw it for the first time last night, thats how sad my life is. . . anyway) One is of high class and the other is from the lower part of society. What they have would almost be like a forbidden love. Something that is unthinkable and and sometimes unbearible. Society turns away, and with that the two "lover" are destroyed. Isn't that sad. . .
