half way through

we are about half way through the book if you are following the schelude. they dont talk much about the great depression
do they? well at least i dont really remeber jer mentioning it. back then the racism was over powering from the black or the white side. like in mockingbird they didnt know each other much, so they had different views of each other. to say that blacks were no good to do much but be slaves and that a white person is as slippery as a snake, never trust them. i think if they had a chance to see how much the same they were then maybe racism would never occure.
