Scout Saves Aticus!

Wow, I just finished reading chapter 15! It was pretty suspensful. It took me a while to figure out what was going on, but with some help from my mom, who has read this book before, I think I got it. So Aticus camps out in front of the jail where Tom Robinson is being held because he suspects that there might be trouble. Sure enough, these guys show up and tell Aticus to get out of the way. But Scout saves the day by running into the circle and trying to talk to someone she recognized. She didnt realize it, but whe was saving Aticus's life, b/c I think those people would have killed him. Maybe not, what did you guys think? It seems really extreme to get so rilled up over a case! It shows how much racism there was in that time period.

So I thought it was funny when Dill was telling Scout and Jem this crazy story about how he got there and then Jem just repeated the question and Dill told the truth. I'm glad he came back. Now Scout has someone to hang with when Jem is acting all grown up.
