Yes, Finally!!

So, I have finally joined the blog! I have been trying all weekend, and today it worked!!

I am really starting to enjoy Mockingbird. I love the imaginations that both Scout and Jem have!
The reading that was assigned over the weekend was interesting. I don't think I have ever seen a mad dog before. I bet it is scary. I was alittle surprised how Calpurnia reacted to it, by calling everyone, but I guess everyone needs to know when there is a mad dog loose. Anyway, it is pretty cool how Scout and Jem found out that there dad, Atticus, is the deadest shot in Maycomb County, finally giving them something to be proud of.

If I had to read to Mrs. Dubose, like Jem had to, I would probably die! LOL! It is a punishment that my parents would have thought of for me to do, if I destroyed someones flowers. I think that Jem had a reason to do this though. Mrs. Dubose was insulting Atticus and Scout. I probably do something close to what Jem did, if somone insulted my dad and sister all the time. Everything started to make sense, after Mrs. Dubose died. I would have never guessed that she was a morphine addict, and the only reason Jem read to her was to get her mind off of the drugs she needed. Do you think Jem has a different view of Mrs. Dubose now that she is not alive anymore? I bet he does!

It seems llike their school year has gone by really fast, Scout was mentioning how she was excited to see Dill. I wonder what adventures they will have this summer? When is the trial that Atticus is being a lawyer to a black man? Has it already happened?
