Kids Protest in South Africa

The story of the Soweto people in South Africa was really sad. The white government had been enforcing strict racial segregation rules, and the black people finally decided to protest. On June 16, 1976 a group of school children held a peaceful protest when they were fired on by the government. The children had decided to not follow in their parents foot steps, and stand up for themselves. The government carried out the deadliest massacre of the black population in South African history. Some were killed and some went to jail, and all the South Africans carried their scars from the massacre forever.
