Test of Yourself

I loved The Autobiography of Miss Jane Pittman!!! It is soooooo good and beautifully written! I have read on several other posts that they were disapointed about the ending to the book, but I definately wasn't! While I was reading that whole last chapter I was hooked word after word. I remember asking myself while I was reading, would I have joined everyone and protested? Do you guys think you would of protested? I wish I could tell you that I would have been there in a heartbeat, but I am afraid that I wouldn't have gone. When it comes to situations like that, I am not much of a risk-taker. I sit back and let others take charge. I follow the rules, and just go with the flow on things. I would be too afraid of getting hurt, or seeing one of my family members getting punished or hurt. So anyone who would go, are very brave. They are also not afraid to stick up for what is right. Courageous, that is a good word to describe all the characters in this book.

I am disapointed, though, that Jane Pittman is fiction! I look up to her to her every move. Jane is so strong, brave, willed, and determined. She is definately her own character. It would have been so cool to say that you knew Jane or you were a part of her life. If this story was true, I would have been so honored to meet Jane, if I had the chance. What do you guys think?

We should definately get Ms. James to let us watch the movie!
Good luck to everyone who is playing in a basketball game tonight!!
