3.14?

Life of Pi, an awesome book~ So I have heard, that's what the reviewers said, I haven't gotten that far yet and I already want to put it down, but I like to give every book a chance, and it is starting to hit a peak of interest. What I like about the book so far is that it's explaining his name, Pi. That of course is not his real name his real name is Piscine. And it talked about how kids made fun of him and called him a name, a some what bad name, one I am not going to repeat, but it was a word some people put inplace of going to the restroom. Anyway, Pi grew up living in a zoo, his father owned it and one day it was shut down, and Pi, realized he wanted to be a zoologist. I have left-off here. But the back cover says he gets stranded on a lifeboat in the middle of the Pacific ocean with a 450 pound Bengal Tiger. This is all at the age of 16, 16, can you believe that. Not much older than us and already stranded on a life boat with a 450 pound tiger! Now for you so called " Macho Men" in the class who say, " I could handle that." Ha, I would love to see that. Anyway, even though I said it was slow, I suggest it, cause, I know it's going to get better.

I would be scared of of my mind if I was stranded in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, and to top it all off, haveing a tiger sitting next to me wouldn't help me at all! Is the tiger from the zoo, or was it on the boat when they got stranded? Let me know how it goes! Sounds good! Cover of the book is appealing!

So how much farther do you have to go in the book? Does it have plenty of pages to make up for the slow start?
