Black Stallion

In Miss Jane Pittman it almost seems that one bad thing comes after another. It truly amazes me. After Ned left, I wondered out loud, what else could happen? Yet like in every book, something does happen. (or else the book would be pretty boring) Miss Jane finds Joe Pittman, and gets married to him, or well. . . In her own sort of way. Anyway, Jane moves in with Joe and his two girls, Ella and Clara. The new family moves off of the Dye plantation, with much difficulty to the new location of Clyde's Farm. Joe Pittman works with the horses, as where Jane works within the house. The book goes on to tell that live is lived this way for 10 years, then disaster strikes. On the Clyde property, a young, black stallion is brought there to be broken. Joe, know for his great skills with horses, is given the job of breaking the youngling. Jane is fill with fear at the fact that Joe, the love of her life, might be matched. Jane seeks help from a nearby hoo-doo, from there Jane believes that she can/will do anything to protect Joe from his "fate." At long last, the night before the breaking, Jane runs to the gates to set free the horse. Joe then catches Jane's at the scene and him and other hands take off after the lose prize. That night, Joe lost his life to the stallion, tangled in rope he was dragged to death. Another tragedy, another lost, still a life to live for Jane.
I am shocked at the will Jane has. The torment of the lost love ones she has had. How lonely life must have felt at points. I awe at the strength she had to live when the times got ruff. What do you guys think made her want to go on? Leave your thought, and they will be much appreciated.

somewhat, i think it was probably ned and her will to live, but i cant really think of what else would motivate her. and the black horse who would have known, the way joe died, kind of gruesome.
